Baggage questions for Africa flight enquiries
Baggage is part of the complete itinerary decision. Allowances and restrictions vary, so this guide focuses on the questions to check rather than publishing a generic weight that may not apply.

Allowance depends on the complete itinerary
Cabin and checked-baggage allowances can vary by airline, fare conditions, cabin and route. A displayed itinerary does not itself guarantee a particular allowance. Ask the consultant to explain the baggage information available for the exact option before deciding whether to proceed.
Connections can involve different rules
Where an itinerary includes more than one operating carrier, baggage rules may differ between sectors. Confirm whether bags are expected to be checked through, where they may need to be collected and which allowance applies. The answer depends on the actual itinerary and ticket conditions.
Excess and special baggage
Sports equipment, musical instruments, medical equipment, mobility aids and other special items may require advance confirmation. Excess-baggage arrangements and conditions also vary. Describe the item and its dimensions accurately so the relevant rules can be checked.
Infant and family baggage
Do not assume that an infant, pushchair or child seat receives a particular allowance. Include every passenger’s age and any equipment you intend to carry, then request confirmation for the specific itinerary.
Restricted items and airport security
Packing and security rules can change. Check the airline, departure airport, destination authority and current UK Civil Aviation Authority guidance. Batteries, liquids, medicines, mobility equipment and dangerous goods may require particular handling or may be restricted.
What Flightsway can review
Flightsway consultants can help review baggage information shown with current itinerary options and identify questions that need supplier confirmation. Website submission remains an enquiry, not a reservation. No online payment is taken.
